Every time we turn on the news all we seem to hear about is death, destruction, and corruption. Monsters fill our screens, our papers, our feeds… and in all honesty, our government. People seem to be turning on each other left right and center, the economy is bad, we’re fighting a losing battle against nature and we’re destroying our own freakin’ planet with ignorance. It. Is. EXHAUSTING.
With all this going on, it can be hard to remember that, hey, there is still a lot of GOOD happening in the wonderful planet we live on, whether it be through big, grand gestures or small, quiet ones…and I’m here to prove it to you all.
“A policeman noticed a sloth who was on a highway. He stopped and took it to a vet first and then returned it to its natural habitat”
As someone who consistently relates to sloths on a daily basis, this warms my heart. Even the smallest act of kindness towards the smallest of creatures in this world is enough to improve anyone’s day… especially this little sloth’s!
“The people across the aisle didn’t know each other. She was flying for the first time and was terrified. He talked her through it and held her hand. Just people being people.”
This is amazing, especially during a time when people seem more cynical than ever. There’s good happening out there all the time, you just have to look a little harder to find them sometimes.
When you know how to make dreams come true:
And always remember, there’s always good happening behind the scenes too! Just because it isn’t shouted from the rooftops doesn’t mean it isn’t happening.
“My dad’s rescue cat wasn’t properly weaned and was very neglected. The only way he will drink water is if my dad holds the cup. He does this multiple times per day.”
I don’t know about you folks, but as I very passionate animal lover, I believe that the greatest act of kindness people can show is the kindness towards animals who need a little extra help in life.
“I left my expensive iPad on a plane and the company crew found it and saved it for me. Thanks guys!”
Black Panther Sean making sure that cats have plenty of food!
Now THAT’S the kind of superhero we need more of around here! You go Sean; you young, majestic boy!
Everyone needs a friend like #50.
This pops up on my newsfeed every could of days and honestly, every single time it does it makes me bawl my freakin’ eyes out. This kid (aka No. 50) has 100% been raised RIGHT!
“A friend volunteers at an old folks home in Australia and was greeted with this today. She’s still crying.”
“My husband donated 17 year’s worth of hair growth today to The Little Princess Trust.”
There really is no end to what we can do for each other! I mean, would you honestly think that donating your hair could be such a big freakin’ deal!? Well, it is, especially to all the little boys and girls out there who’ve lost their own.
“This guy, who calls himself ‘the peddler,’ wears a velodrome helmet and a balaclava and returns stolen bikes (including mine) from online sellers. He also patrols the streets making sure bikes are properly locked up and registered online. He was just interviewed on the radio!”
What was it that Batman said? Not the hero we need, but the hero we deserve. This guy proves that there really are people out there looking out for us, eager to serve justice when it’s needed the most!
“This kitten came to the office of a Brazilian Attorney’s Association on a rainy day. They didn’t just take him in and gave him food, but they also accepted him as an honorary worker. His name is Leon.”
What did I tell you? I just cannot get ENOUGH of these cute animal stories. And just look at adorable little Leon! He looks so proud to have his very own name badge. I can see big things in his future, BIG THINGS! And it’s all thanks to those wonderful folks at that Brazilian Attorney’s Association.
